SummaryEdit

The Export submenu located in the Management menu tab can be used to download event log and troubleshoot files from devices registered on your RMS profile. This section of the RMS user manual provides an overview on the functions of the Export submenu.

BackupEdit

The Backup is used to download configuration files for your selected device(s). Backup files can be uploaded only to identical devices with identical firmware. Once a backup file is uploaded to a router, that router will have identical configuration as the router from which the backup file originated (was downloaded from).

To download backup for your devices go to the RMS web page, Left sidebar panel, (Management → Overview) and click on Overview submenu.

Move your mouse pointer to the Top control Export menu and select Backup (Export → Backup).

   

The Backup function provides you with the possibility to download configuration files from devices registered on your RMS profile.


 


Instructions

  1. Select the device(s) whose configuration file(s) you would like to download.
  2. Move your mouse pointer to the Export menu and click Backup.
  3. You will get a pop-up box that displays your selected device(s). In the Status column click the Download button to get configuration files.

Important!

  • You can easily get all backup files as one ZIP file by clicking Download all button.

 

Event logsEdit

The Event Logs is used to download event log for your selected device(s). The Events Log windows display records of such event as logins, reboots, resets, connections, configuration changes and more.

To download event logs for your devices go to the RMS web page, Left sidebar panel, (Management → Overview) and click on Overview submenu.

Move your mouse pointer to the Top control Export menu and select Event Logs (Export → Event Logs).

   

The Event logs function is used to download the event log file from the selected device(s).


 


Instructions

  1. Select a device(s) whose events log file(s) you would like to download.
  2. Move your mouse pointer to the Export menu and click Event Logs.
  3. You will get a pop-up box that displays your selected device(s). Wait for a few seconds for the system to connect to the router.
  4. In the Status column click the Download button to get configuration files.

Important!

  • You can easily get all event logs as one ZIP file by clicking Download all button.

 

TroubleshootEdit

The Troubleshoot is used to download troubleshoot file for your selected device(s). Troubleshoot file - downloadable archive, that contains full router configuration and all System log files.

To download troubleshoot file for your devices go to the RMS web page, Left sidebar panel, (Management → Overview) and click on Overview submenu.

Move your mouse pointer to the Top control Export menu and select Troubleshoot (Export → Troubleshoot).

   

The Troubleshoot function is used to download the troubleshoot file from the selected device(s).


 


Instructions

  1. Select a device(s) whose troubleshoot file(s) you would like to download.
  2. Move your mouse pointer to the Export menu and click Event Logs.
  3. You will get a pop-up box that displays your selected device(s). Wait for a few seconds for the system to connect to the router.
  4. In the Status column click the Download button to get troubleshoot file(s).

Important!

  • You can easily get all event logs as one ZIP file by clicking Download all button.

 

Table CSVEdit

The Table CSV is used to download a table from the main window listing all your devices with all the columns currently enabled.

To download the CSV file go to the RMS web page, Left sidebar panel, (Management → Overview) and click on Overview submenu.

Move your mouse pointer to the Top control Export menu and select Table CSV (Export → Table CSV).

   

The Table CSV function is used to download table file for all the devices currently listed in the main window.


 


Instructions

  1. Move your mouse pointer to the Export menu and click Table CSV.
  2. You will get a file save dialog. Save the table csv file to your selected location.
